What this site is

A static site. There is no account, no login, no form and no database on it. We set no cookies, and nothing here is loaded from a third party: the fonts, the scripts and the images are all served from this domain.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, your browser sends your IP address, the address of the page and information about your browser and operating system to GitHub, which records them in its server logs. We have no access to those logs and do not evaluate them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a site that can be delivered and kept secure, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which is the basis for the transfer to the United States; GitHub describes its own processing in its privacy statement.

Analytics

None. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no profiling, no A/B testing.

The waitlist

The waitlist button takes you to a form on Google Forms. Nothing is submitted to this site and nothing from Google is loaded on it; only when you open the form are you on Google's pages, where Google's own privacy policy applies. Google Forms is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use it with an ordinary Google account, not under a data processing agreement, so Google processes the entries under its own terms and privacy policy. Google may transfer data to the United States, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We ask for your mail address, and optionally your name and what interests you about EKHO. We use them only to tell you when there is something to see, on the basis of your consent, which you give with the checkbox in the form, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us; we then delete your entry. Otherwise we delete it once we have sent that mail, and at the latest two years after you signed up. Beyond Google as described above, we pass it on to nobody.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to have its processing restricted, to receive it in a portable form and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to the address above. You may also complain to a supervisory authority; for us that is the data protection authority of the federal state we live in.

Changes

The site is being built, and this page changes with it. What stands here describes the site as it is today.
